Person standing on sandy ground at night, using a camera on a tripod, gazing at a star-filled sky with a bright comet.

Born and raised in Dhaka, Bangladesh, I pursued my graduate studies in Utah, USA, before relocating to the Greater Sacramento Area, California, where I currently work as a Professional Civil Engineer.

My love for photography began when I was captivated by the diverse landscapes, starry nights, mountains, and oceans of the United States. Armed with a prosumer camera, I started my journey to capture the beauty of light in its purest form, a passion that continues to grow.

During my time in Utah, I embraced my interest in photojournalism, which was deeply rooted in my upbringing in a geopolitically significant region. I became a Photojournalist for the Daily Utah Chronicle while completing my studies in Transportation Engineering. This experience opened up a world of creativity for me—covering sports events, nature, people, and travel stories for both digital and print media gave me unparalleled fulfilment.

As a freelance photographer, I pride myself on delivering high-quality images across genres, whether it’s NCAA sports, editorial assignments, or unique astrophotography projects like capturing the rare Comet Neowise.

I am also passionate about preserving the beauty of our natural world and actively support National Parks and Dark Sky Sites. In my free time, I retreat to remote campgrounds, what I like to call "billion-star hotels," where I recharge and reconnect with nature. Travelling not only allows me to photograph stunning landscapes but also allows me to explore different cultures, taste authentic cuisine, and meet incredible people along the way.

In my work, I aim to strike a balance between realism and art. Each shot I take tells a story—a visual narrative that reflects the duality of my own journey through life.
